On Saturday night, July 12, the Lancers held a doubleheader at Kendall High School in memory of their teammate and friend Bridget Buzard, who we lost on October 1, 2007.
With Bridget's family cheering them on, both Lancers Women's teams played amazing and scored big wins.
The Lancers Xtreme team defeated Cal-Mum 3-0, as Emily Starowitz, Jenn Lonnen, and Amanda Ambrose all scored. The girls dominated the game, and were relentless in the attack all night long. The defense of Jenna Ferrando, Audrey Rath, Casey Flynn, Elissa Zimmer, and Alesha Amend were rock solid all night, and goalie Chelsey Torpey only had to make 5 saves for the shutout.
In the nightcap, the Lancers United women dominated and defeated Spencerport 4-1. Steph Roberts had a monster game, scoring the first two goals and assisting on one later as well. Brittany Luckey and Kate Welch also scored. The girls played great all night, and never let down.
